I was involved in the organization during this period as publicist, but I can't recall exact details. I remember there was a big dust-up caused by a USENET posting about an event, between NLA:BC and the main NLA organization. This would have been in the mid-90s.

This organization eventually became the Other Side, though by then it was run largely as an informal business, not a formal society with elections at such.

Purgatory was on Pandora Street, just a little east of Victoria. It was a large space on the third floor of an industrial building, with a lobby/coat check, a main play space, a corridor flanked by smaller rooms, one of which became a medical area, and a social/snack area.

It was mainly run by "DH".

I can't recall the exact dates. I think it shut down during 2000.
